Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I tell you what, I have never seen such a vicious and

unwarrented attack on a national figure as I am seeing on

President Bush.  Actually, I've been seeing it since he

was elected the first time.  But this all intensified during

the election season.  I thought honestly that it would

taper off after he won and his party grew stronger in

Congress.  I was wrong.

Whenever someone like Clinton says something

that is a touch inspirational, the news reports about

how great his words are.  But what is the President

now faced with when he dares to say anything that

is fareaching or inspirational?  Pessimistic Zealots

are immediately sought and put on air to trash

whatever he says.  Are these powerful and influential

people?  No.  Do they represent most Americans?

No.  They are minority extremists whose world view

is far left of center.  But when one pays attention to

the news, their ideas come across rather than the

President's.

In addition, almost every story about Bush is

negative.  The news people attack petty things and

misrepresent.... and even flat out lie in order to put

Bush in a bad light.  I am reminded of a story that

ABC ran about how social security was stable and

was in no crisis.  This is not what the media said

during the election.  They then presented figures that

claimed to be calculated to "the end of time."  Yes,

that is stupid.  They were trying to refer to the amount

of social security short-fall.  But unless you know

exactly when the end of time is, how can you predict

a finite short-fall.  You can't.  ABC was lying.

I know this post has been different, but a lot of

Christians helped put Bush in because of his stance

on social issues.  This was an important election.

The media is deceitful and bitter.  They emanate

lies.  But remember, thier audience is falling.  Other

less biased sources are now stronger than they are.

And make no mistake, for however much he is

critisized, with Congress firmly in GOP hands,

Bush is one of the most powerful Presidents in

U.S. history.  He will have his way now, they won't.

And if he holds to what he claims to belive in, we

who love morality and decency will have ours too.

God bless!
